About

Amie Kaufman

Amie Kaufman is a New York Times, USA Today and internationally bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy, known for her futuristic worlds, exploration of themes around the boundaries between AI and self, and her representations of corporate futures. Primarily a novelist, she has also worked as a story consultant on major video games for studios including Ubisoft.

Her multi-award winning work has sold well over a million copies, been translated into nearly thirty languages, and is in development for film and TV. She has been awarded both the judges’ and people’s choice Australian Book Industry Awards, and been shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards.

Amie has been hailed by top industry publications as a “master worldbuilder” (Books + Publishing), “a game-changer” (Shelf Awareness) and “stylistically mesmerizing”(Publishers Weekly.) Raised in Australia and occasionally Ireland, Amie lives by the sea in Melbourne with her family, and an extremely large personal library. She is in the final stages of a PhD on diversity and race in young adult speculative fiction.
