About

Angus Hervey

Angus Hervey is a political economist, storyteller, and co-founder of Fix The News — a global media project dedicated to telling stories of human progress and possibility. Based in Melbourne, Angus completed his PhD at the London School of Economics before returning to Australia to co-found Future Crunch, a think-tank and storytelling platform that champions social and scientific advancement.

Over the past decade, he has delivered more than 500 talks — including three TED appearances between 2023 and 2025 — sharing the remarkable ways people around the world are solving the great challenges of our time.

Through Fix The News, Angus is reimagining the role of journalism: to hold truth to power, while also amplifying stories of hope, innovation, and repair. His work reminds us that the world is not only full of crisis, but also full of people creating change — and that by paying attention to progress, we strengthen our collective capacity to improve it.
