About
Caroline Chubb Calderon
Caroline Chubb Calderon is a systems futurist, AI ethicist, and architect of life-aligned AI. She works toward a future where intelligence and life co-evolve, opening orders of possibility unreachable under extractive trajectories. She is the Founder of Ayu, the first venture building life-aligned AI. Ayu is developing the world models, technical infrastructure, cultural scaffolding, and coalition architectures to midwife the life-enriching intelligence era. She is an architect of IEEE's Ethically Aligned Design, the field's foundational ethics framework, and lead author of the Regenerative AI Ethics (RAIE) framework.
She has advised Google, Microsoft, and the World Economic Forum on existential AI risk, and is named among the Top 100 Most Brilliant Women in AI Ethics. Her published frameworks chart how civilisations build antifragility in the age of exponential technologies, what forms of leadership can navigate the metacrises, and how AI can strengthen, rather than corrode, the conditions for generational flourishing. Her forthcoming book reframes AI's defining question: not how to align machines with human values, but how to apprentice intelligence to life, the only system with a 3.8 billion year track record of thriving complexity.
