Jack Dan
Dr. Jack Dan is a senior executive and board member with extensive experience across start-ups, academia, government, international organisations, and multinational companies in Australia and abroad. He is currently Chief Strategy Officer at CDC, where he leads the organisation’s strategy, growth, sustainability and engagement.
Previously, Jack served as the Australian Government’s Senior Adviser for Data, Digital and Technology, where he led the development of Australia’s first Digital Transformation Strategy, Digital Service Platforms Strategy, Hosting Strategy, and Whole of Government Architecture. In this role, he also oversaw major reforms in identity, service delivery, procurement, and legislation, and initiated the establishment of the Ministerial-level Data and Digital Ministers’ Meeting, including representation from New Zealand.
Jack brings deep expertise from the technology sector, having held senior roles at Telstra, including National General Manager for Government and Head of Global Foresight. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Management from the Australian National University. In addition to his executive career, Jack is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra’s Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis, a member of the UNSW School of Business Advisory Board, a Board Director of Data Centres Australia, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
